Space is understood not as a neutral backdrop, but as a field shaped by relationships between sensory elements. Texture, color, scale, and form do not exist independently; they interact and influence one another, generating the character of a space. The work begins with an exploration of the subtle differences, tensions, and sensory experiences that emerge from these relationships.
Function and form are approached not as separate categories, but as interdependent elements that produce meaning through their overlap. At the blurred boundary between usability and form, everyday objects acquire new significance. Repetition, stacking, and accumulation operate not merely as formal strategies, but as processes through which time and traces of use become embedded.
The work is conceived not as a fixed outcome, but as an ongoing state of interaction between material, perception, and bodily experience. Within this process, minute shifts and textures emerge, becoming perceptible through spatial experience.
공간은 단순한 배경이 아니라, 감각적 요소들의 관계 속에서 형성되는 하나의 장으로 이해된다. 질감과 색감, 크기와 형태는 개별적으로 존재하기보다 서로 영향을 주고받으며 공간의 성격을 만들어낸다. 이러한 관계 속에서 드러나는 미묘한 차이와 긴장, 그리고 그로 인해 발생하는 감각적 경험에 대한 탐구가 작업의 출발점이 된다.
사물의 기능과 형태는 분리된 개념이 아니라, 서로 교차하며 의미를 생성하는 요소로 다루어진다. 사용성과 조형성 사이의 경계가 흐려지는 지점에서, 일상적인 대상은 새로운 의미를 획득한다. 반복, 적층, 축적과 같은 방식은 단순한 형식적 구성에 그치지 않고, 시간과 사용의 흔적이 스며드는 과정으로 작용한다.
작업은 고정된 결과라기보다, 물질과 감각, 그리고 신체적 경험이 지속적으로 상호작용하는 상태로 이해된다. 이 과정 속에서발생하는 미세한 변화와 감각의 결은 공간 속에서의 인식과 경험을 통해 드러난다.
