LEE Shine

My work begins from the fleeting moment when dawn breaks. Rather than recreating a

specific landscape, I aim to translate the light, the air, and the sensations of that

moment into form.

Using yeonrimun technique and colored clay bodies, I build surfaces where color seeps,

layers, and accumulates over time. The bleeding of color and blurring of boundaries

move between painterly and sculptural, visualizing emotion within a dreamlike

atmosphere.

Taking nature as my primary motif, I carry the feelings of specific moments and

memories into my work — not as representation, but as a process of translating invisible

sensation into material form. This is work I continue to carry forward.

나의 작업은 여명이 지는 우연적인 순간에서 출발한다. 특정한 풍경을 재현하기보다, 그때의 빛

과 공기, 그리고 그 안에서 느껴지는 감각을 형태로 옮기고자 한다.

연리문 기법과 색소지를 활용하여 색이 스며들고 겹쳐지는 과정을 드러내며, 흐름과 시간의 축적

이 나타나는 표면을 만든다. 이러한 색의 번짐과 경계의 흐릿함은 회화적인 감각과 조형적인 구

조 사이를 오가며, 몽환적인 분위기 속에서 감정의 결을 시각화한다.

나는 색감을 중요한 요소로 여기며, 작업 안에 내가 느낀 감정을 그대로 새긴다. 특정한 순간이나

시절의 감정이 자연스럽게 스며들고, 동시에 표현하고자 하는 감정이 함께 쌓인다.

또한 자연을 주요한 모티브로 삼아, 경험한 자연과 시간, 기억을 작업 안에 담아낸다. 이는 단순한

재현이 아닌, 보이지 않는 감각과 정서를 물성으로 드러내는 과정이며, 그 순간의 마음을 차분히

쌓아가는 일을 계속하고 있다.
